The Heartbeat of a Business

THe EKG readout visual, or 'heartbeat' represents the data stream of a company.

I developed this concept to visualize the idea that data is the lifeline of a business. Without reliable access to mission critical data, business processes die. The exaggerated skyscrapers represent the primary and backup locations of a company.

Packaging

My goal was to create a simple and useful packaging solution for all of the product information, which includes books and CDs and loose paper. The orange box in the middle is actually a binder with a printed sleeve that houses all the elements. This format was successfully developed following the Cooper method, which involves interviewing end users before designing the product.

Microsite

To play up the idea of data travelling over a significant distance with ease, I chose a navigation scheme that gives the user the feeling of effortlessly gliding from place to place in the interface.

The goal of the website is to educate the sales force, and ultimately customers, on the benefits and value of a 30m failover solution.
